On Saturday I played tennis. Normally I play competitively with the results documented with consequences for the players' rankings. However this time my opponent was suffering from a cold and asked for our contest to be a friendly. This had a noticeable psychological effect on me. I still wanted to win, but in a more carefree way. Released from the shackles of competition I was free to relax and enjoy the game. Earlier in the week, David Brown gave me a scripture from 2 Chronicles 20:17 "You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you". Having got to the end of our capabilities in the Go and Grow project, and still not being able to achieve our goal, we now know that only God can deliver Solar House into our hands. From being a very challenging contest to try and win the prize, the project has now become for us something that we release into the control of God. We are called to stand and watch, but not from the sidelines; we're still in the heart of the battle.
