Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success!

Yesterday at Staff Prayers we read together Psalm 118 and a particular verse sprang out to me. Today I read it again from the St Bs reading plan. Verse 25 says: "Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success!" The first half sounds like people drowning, while the second half is more like city traders trying to close a deal. And both of these sentiments perfectly express how the struggles of the Go and Grow project feel - both nearly drowning and on the cusp of a huge breakthrough at the same time.

This evening we are having an information evening where we will be answering FAQs, and seeing some of the architects' proposals for the new building. I am praying that it will prove to be an informative, encouraging and stirring evening, where we catch a fresh vision for what God could do through us. I have already had a glimpse of what the architects will unveil, and in the odd moments when I come up for air, it makes me very excited. The cry of my heart is: Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success!
